What is design, you ask? Well, design is the process of creating something that is functional, aesthetic and easy to use. Sounds simple, right? But it’s not. Design involves a lot of research, planning, testing and iteration. It’s a creative and collaborative endeavour that requires both technical and artistic skills.

Let me give you an example. Suppose you want to design a website for your online store. You can’t just throw some images and text on a page and call it a day. You have to think about who your target audience is, what they need, what they want, and how they will interact with your site. You need to think about the layout, colours, fonts, navigation, content, functionality and accessibility of your site. You need to make sure your site is easy to use, attractive to look at and reflects your brand identity.

Design is not just about making things look good. It’s also about making things work well. Design is a problem-solving activity aimed at improving the quality of life for the people who use your products or services. Design is not just a skill, it’s a mindset. It’s a way of thinking that puts the user at the centre of everything you do.

I hope this blog post has given you some insight into what design is and why it matters. If you want to learn more about design, stay tuned for my next post where I will share some tips and tricks on how to become a better designer. Thanks for reading and happy designing!
